Amani Asfour is the first Arab woman to head the International Federation of Businesswomen
The International Confederation of Businesswomen and Professions, the Egyptian Dr. Amani Asfour, was chosen as the president of the Federation by an overwhelming majority. For the next three years, the presidential term, which extends until 2020, is in accordance with the rules of the International Federation of Women Business and Professional Women.
This came during the twenty-ninth session of the Federation held in the Egyptian capital Cairo.
The Arab Businesswomen's Council, headed by Sheikha Dr. Hessa Saad Al Abdullah Al Salem Al Sabah, congratulates Dr. Amani Asfour, the first Arab woman to head the International Federation of Business and Professional Women.
It has more than 100,000 businesswomen from 110 countries.
Dr. Amani Asfour is the chairwoman of the Egyptian Association of Businesswomen, the COMESA Business Council, the Human Resources, Science and Technology Committee of the African Union's Cultural and Economic Council and the African Association for the Empowerment of Women.
